A powerful, symbolic editorial graphic titled "BZV - Trump Apocalyptic." The image features a translucent Truth Social post by Donald Trump centered over a scorched field of fire and debris. At the base, the national flags of the United States, Iran, and Israel appear crumpled and discarded among the flames. A ghostly, tattered American flag banner looms in the background smoke, symbolizing the existential threat of "Armageddon" and the collapse of 47 years of regional stability.

Is President Trump Attempting to Accelerate Armageddon?

Is president Trump attempting to accelerate Armageddon? This is not a trick question, the war this administration started against Iran is not only unpopular, but also unsustainable.

The Real Reason Why We Didn’t Hit Iran for the Last 47 Years

The short answer: because it is a lose-lose war, and Iran ends up coming out on top — unless those who start it commit genocide.

Iran suspected that outcome, and anybody who has even a marginal understanding of sociocultural geopolitics reached the same conclusion. For better or worse, Iran has an optimal geography to create a certifiable nightmare for anyone who initiates an attack. I remember even folks in my field of expertise (Intelligence) thinking they could easily turn Iran into a "parking lot," which was a glaring miscalculation. It seems those confussed guys are the ones in charge.

Supposedly, this "special military operation" — which began on February 28, 2026 — was intended to last only a few hours. Today is 38 days later. The key question: Is the U.S. better or worse? Sadly, we are much worse, which brings me to Trump's latest statement on this issue:

"A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionary wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!"

You can still be a fan of the President and ask yourself: "What the actual f**k!?"

If you have been tracking this for a long time, this isn't surprising — though it remains startling and extremely disturbing. This is a trend that has been escalating for several days. Politicians yelp about how provocative this is  but ultimately do nothing. Some members of our Armed Forces are speaking truth to power and are being swiftly punished or pushed aside, such as the Army's Chief of Staff.

The Trump administration is likely realizing what we've known for decades: this war costs more headaches than "fixing it," and it will only result in more chaos. Most importantly, it puts the USA in a much more vulnerable position while it telegraphs our capabilities — and especially our limitations — to our actual larger adversaries. These adversaries are, in essence, conducting validated Research & Development without firing a single shot or compromising their own military prowess.

There is a saying in Spanish that roughly translates to: "An idiot can cause more damage than an earthquake." The ineptitude of both parties to control this situation is more obvious than ever before. Again, I'm not surprised; they are just making their incompetence more visible. This is not meant as a compliment to either party. Both Democrats and Republicans share the blame. Dereliction of duty while things are happening on your watch makes you complicit in whatever worst-case consequences occur under your nose.

To the Democrats: stop virtue signaling — this was telegraphed for years. To the GOP: you are also to blame because your party is the incumbent in charge of every branch of our federal government.

When Iran was "the aggressor" — or even just painted as such — the entire world had our back, including NATO. The second the U.S. did strike first, it is legally "game over." The U.S. "done f***ed up." There are rules and laws that govern warfare. Bravado and "preemptive strikes" come with massive risks and repercussions. Those who understand these laws will leave the U.S. in a "you're on your own, buddy" scenario — or be held complicit when this is over. And it will be over, and those involved will be tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity. If you're MAGA now, this might hurt your feelings; too bad, because it will happen eventually. The same would be the case for any country that conducted an "Epic Fury" strike against the USA. That is why you don't strike without a very strong plan; you keep the pressure on deterrence to ensure missiles aren't being hurled at each other.

Is This a War or Not a War?

Unless you're the most naive person on the planet, you know this is an illegal war. It was not authorized by Congress and it violates international law. Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump started an illegal war — and Trump just sent yet another post that speaks of genocide (see the head image). If we have three aircraft carrier strike groups and three Marine Expeditionary Forces (amphibious ships) with several Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs) putting boots on the ground after bombing using all other military branches in joint operations — that is not a "military operation." It is a damn war!

In warfare, geography is key. While many with a high sense of arousal for these hostilities cannot point to the Strait of Hormuz on a map or identify the logistical supplies for CENTCOM and the FIFTH FLEET, they fail to realize the scope of the operations against the USA. Say it again for those in the back: A country is only as powerful as its allies! One word: Supply. If you don't have the logistics and positioning, you cannot sustain a conflict. Let me give you an example: Let’s say you’re going on a road trip from Virginia to California, but there are no gas stations after you hit the Midwest. You're cooked! You're stalled, game over. Even if you're pulling a trailer with drums full of gas, the weight-to-power ratio will slow you down. This is why Iran first obliterated all the logistical hubs the U.S. requires to resupply its forces in the area.

This is Warfare 101. It is insane that these "plans" moved forward. Then again, the self-proclaimed "Secretary of War" said he does not care about Rules of Engagement (ROE), which is the single stupidest thing a person in charge of warfare could say. That is akin to saying, "I play football, but I don't care about the ball." My "What the f**k?" question goes directly to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS): You all should know better - even if this former National Guard Major (Junior Officer) didn't. If I, a retired Senior Chief Intelligence Specialist, know this — YOU should know it better than I do. Yet, I am seeing the exact consequences I would have warned about if I were still in uniform. This is now the JCS legacy. It’s shameful.

In warfare and Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTWA), we have friends everywhere because they provide strategic hubs — everything from weapons and ammunition to food, fresh fruit and vegetables (FFV), and maintenance parts. That is why we used USAID as "soft power" — winning hearts and minds half a world away so we could defend U.S. interests. Notice I said defend, not attack others. There is a huge difference. Smart leaders negotiate to keep the balance in the volatile reality of geopolitics. It is easy to strike, but it is seldom the correct answer.

Trump has raised the recruitment age to 42 and is expanding the draft to potentially include women. Why? To defend Netanyahu's paranoia? More attacks against Israel have occurred since he started this war than in the entire time he was yapping about Iran's aggression. He became the reason the "prophecies" for the Christian ultra-right and the Shia Muslims came true. Congratulations to the morons driving this quagmire: you started a holy war engulfing the entire planet. You know who benefits from this? Our actual overt adversaries, Russia and China. They get all the benefits with zero action, posing as the "grownups in the room."

This is an illegal war. Those forced to spill blood "following orders" will eventually face their version of the Nuremberg Trials.

Why Is NATO Not Supporting the USA?

Short answer: because this war is illegal. If they participate, they endorse crimes against humanity.

What if the USA had not struck? We would be where we were on February 27 — not great, but not as bad. This war costs the U.S. more than $2 billion per day. Do the math: after 38 days, that is $76 billion thus far. We suffered the longest government shutdown in U.S. history because of $4 billion that Trump didn't want the GOP to give for healthcare premiums — the equivalent of two days of this war. Just imagine how much AMERICA FIRST could have been achieved if $4B was what caused the US Government to shut down for more than a month. Get it now?

Iran is acting like the "grownup in the room." They went from a radical regime that was the butt of the joke to an oppressive regime that now has the narrative advantage. The "regime change" resulting from the death of the previous Ayatollah led to his son, who is even more radicalized — and now Trump is enacting a "prophecy" of Western aggression. It is easy to convince your people that Americans and Israelis are the aggressors when they are striking your critical infrastructure every day. The USA has lost the moral high ground. Once you do that, the war is not winnable. This is handing Iran a win on a silver platter; it gives them long-term vindication to claim they were merely defending themselves.

NATO understands that. Most of NATO, with the exception of Hungary, has told the Trump administration they will not support this illegal effort. Article 5 has only been invoked once — after 9/11. Since 1949, NATO has expanded to provide the logistics the U.S. needs: ports, missile sites, and personnel. Countries like Spain and Italy have denied airspace and landing strips for this war. They remember the aftermath of WWII and Nuremberg. NATO didn't betray the USA; the Trump administration just failed to learn history.

But there is another layer. Secretary Hegseth released two books about the "Armageddon" and holy war we are seeing:

  1. "American Crusade" (2020): Lays out the "Holy War" framework. He argues Western civilization is under existential threat and uses the "Crusader" rallying cry: Deus Vult (God Wills It). He views the last 47 years of restraint as a "betrayal."
  2. "The War on Warriors" (2024): This is the manual for his assault on the military. He claims the military has been "betrayed" by "woke" leadership and urges soldiers to follow their "own rules" and ignore "tepid legality." This is exactly what leads to war crimes.

Who else has read these? Our actual adversaries. They exploit these biases to accelerate a "prophecy" while the U.S. jumps through hoops dressed in patriotic regalia.

If you're God-fearing and Republican, they are manipulating your doctrine against you. Adversarial forces are using those you "trust" to push an agenda beneficial to the Kremlin and China. If you're God-fearing and a Democrat, they want you to keep doing what you're doing — speaking up but failing to achieve follow-through.

For those of us seeing this pragmatically: it is manipulation. There is no easier way to manipulate the naive than to make them believe they are righteous. We are seeing an artificially incited holy war with enough firepower to destroy the planet several times over. Meanwhile, politicians are still reacting to a situation that has been telegraphed for years. To them, I say: you also have blood on your hands.

The solution is simple: Educate yourself on the facts — they will not always put your "team" in a good light. Speak up. Educate others. We need people who can reach those driving this train into a wreck to avoid hitting the brick wall we're all heading at full speed. BZV
